Clinical Evaluation – Equine Metabolic Support

What did Standard Process evaluate in the trials?
To determine the effects of Equine Metabolic Support, clinical evaluations were conducted under the direction of a veterinarian. Twenty-nine horses were identified with elevated insulin, which can be associated with challenges to the metabolic system.

(top)

What were the results of the trials?
Twenty (20) animals had decreased fasting insulin levels and 3 animals had increased circulating insulin levels. Over the course of treatment, six animals had variable responses in insulin levels. The attending veterinarians found value in the product with significant perceived benefits to the animal. The product has been found to be safe and palatable. This study contained no control group and represents the observations and measurements of insulin levels and blood glucose levels by the attending veterinarians.

Where can I get complete trial information?
For complete protocol and outcomes, please visit Equine Metabolic Trials.

Clinical Evaluations – Equine Mobility Support

What did Standard Process evaluate in the trials?
Equine Mobility Support underwent two observational trials to examine lameness and determine whether product efficacy could be observed and evaluated. The veterinarian supervising the trials evaluated horses representing different breeds, ages, and gender prior to initiating the study to define their lameness. Animals having a spavin score of greater than 1 in a leg joint were recruited. The second evaluation included more active horses—Dressage, Endurance, Jumping, Therapy—likely to exhibit different stress symptoms/indicators on their limbs.

(top)

What were the results of the trials?
In the initial trial, with one exception, all horses showed improvement of aggregate spavin score (total for all limbs) by 30 days. At 60 days, all horses showed continued improvement. There were no actionable changes in blood chemistries. Subjective comments from the trainers involved indicated many animals showed much greater range of motion, although this wasn’t measured directly. Results from the follow-up evaluation supported findings from the initial evaluation.

These studies contained no control group and represent the observations and measurements by the attending veterinarian.
